Yoga is Good

Yoga Videos

When you cannot make it to a yoga class, sometimes a good option is to turn the television on and do yoga with a new friend.

Selecting a Yoga Video

The most important thing to remember about videos is that they are not a real substitute for a live class. However, they do have their place as an additive. You should be able to have some rapport with the instructor from the dvd or vhs. Just like live instructors, each instructor is unique.

It is also very important to know the instructor's qualifications. In some regards, this is more important than when selecting a live instructor, because of the fewer channels of communication that the video will give you.

You will want videos that are geared toward your level of practice; beginner, intermediate or advanced, or any place in between. Depending on previous experiences, you may want to continue with the same "virtual instructor" for all of your lessons, or you may want to change them up a bit.
